Technical Outerwear Development

Outerwear built with fabric, fit and factory discipline.

For jackets, puffers and technical layers, TB Group turns a buyer idea into a controlled product program: material direction, construction engineering, fit approval, sustainable fabric options, factory allocation and bulk quality execution.

Process Flow

How an outerwear program moves.

A buyer can clearly understand where the project starts, which teams control each stage, and how the style becomes a production-ready garment.

Buyer Brief

We start from target market, season, retail price, reference sample, tech pack, function level, fabric handfeel and delivery window.

Material Direction

Fabric options are proposed by performance need: woven shell, stretch shell, coated fabric, padding, lining, recycled or organic options.

Engineering Review

Pattern, seam type, pocket system, hood structure, zipper performance, trim compatibility and construction risk are checked before sample.

Costing & Allocation

We align target cost, country option, factory capability, MOQ, lead time, compliance status and production capacity.

Proto Sample

Prototype sample confirms silhouette, measurement, fabric behavior, trim placement and construction feasibility.

Fit & PP Approval

Fit comments, grading, workmanship, test result, color approval and pre-production sample are locked before bulk starts.

Production Control

Material booking, cutting, sewing, finishing, inline inspection, final inspection and packing follow a visible checkpoint calendar.

Shipment Handover

Final quality documents, packing list, shipment plan and vendor follow-up complete the program from concept to delivery.

Engineering Lab

What we engineer before bulk.

Outerwear is not only a photo or fabric. We check how the garment works when worn, how it performs after wash, how trims behave in production and how the factory can repeat the same standard in bulk.

01

Fabric Engineering

We select shell, lining, padding and finishing based on product purpose: lightweight city jacket, utility coat, softshell, puffer, rain direction or casual outerwear.

02

Pattern & Fit Control

Shoulder slope, armhole mobility, hood depth, body length, sweep, sleeve rotation and layering comfort are reviewed before approval.

03

Trim & Function

Zippers, snaps, pullers, elastic, cord, stopper, label, pocket bag and reinforcement details are checked for durability and production efficiency.

04

Factory Readiness

The right factory is chosen by machine setup, outerwear experience, compliance, capacity, lead time and ability to maintain quality in bulk.

Sustainable Material Direction

Responsible fabric options built into development.

When the buyer requires a lower-impact direction, TB Group can guide fabric and trim options before sampling so sustainability is planned early, not added at the end.

Recycled Performance Shells

Recycled polyester or nylon options can be used for woven shells, lining and selected performance materials when suitable for target price and test requirement.

  • Recycled polyester shell direction
  • Recycled lining and padding options
  • Durability and colorfastness checked

Organic & Responsible Fibers

For cotton-touch outerwear, overshirts or casual jackets, organic cotton or responsibly sourced cotton-blend fabric options can be reviewed.

  • Organic cotton blend options
  • Responsible cotton direction
  • Wash stability and shrinkage control

Lower-Impact Production Choices

We can propose material efficiency, durable construction, reduced remake risk, quality-first approval and packaging options that support responsible production.

  • Better first sample accuracy
  • Durable trim selection
  • Packaging and waste reduction review
Quality Gates

Checkpoints that protect the buyer.

The objective is not only to make a sample. The objective is to make the style repeatable in bulk with clear approval points.

Gate 01

Fabric Approval

Handfeel, weight, color, shrinkage, performance direction and price are approved before final sample.

Gate 02

Fit Approval

Measurement, comfort, movement, sleeve balance and styling corrections are locked through fit sample review.

Gate 03

PP Approval

Pre-production sample confirms all details: fabric, trim, label, workmanship, packing and bulk production standard.

Gate 04

Bulk Inspection

Inline and final inspection monitor workmanship, measurement, packing, defect level and shipment readiness.
